What can I say....a great place for locals and visitors alike either to amble round the various independent shops or take a well earned break for refreshment.
It's simply got a lovely village vibe. Can get busy at weekends and holidays, but I love it as it keeps the local economy buoyant.
The Broadway is a covered walkway of 5/6 shops. Comprising of, a well stocked pet shop, barbers, well stocked wool shop, carpet shop, cake/specialist wedding cake shop. The wedding cake for Charles & Camila's wedding was made here and there is an exact copy of the cake is on display in the window. At the end is the Melrose café/ restaurant with seating for approx 40. The meals are excellent quality, home cooked with maximum price of £7.20 for 1 of 3/4 daily specials. A further extensive menu is available for light meals and snacks. A choice of 3/4 sweets are available to finish off. All meals ,snacks , sweets are freshly made in house. Well worth a visit.
