Would give zero if I could. Had an absolutely awful experience with this company from start to finish. Awful communication from the beginning. Mandy, the owner, would send screen shots of available options, and for some reason wasn’t able to give us a link to a site or a brochure to be able to browse. Could not contact them by phone either. Would have pulled out at this point but could not find anyone else at the time free to do the work in the time needed as tenants were moving in. I had to go to the property to let someone in to measure things up despite giving mapped dimensions from the deeds. They said he needed to come along to see if the doors would need trimming which was fair enough. The following week I met two men who were carrying out the work at which point they said it would take 2 days not the one as planned, meaning I had to take a further unplanned day off work. They said Mandy should have contacted me. She hadn’t. I also had informed Mandy that there was a height restriction at the property to which she said it wouldn’t be a problem, but the van would not fit so they had to park on double yellows and block one lane of the road. This was not great for anyone! The work was then completed in the two days, quite shoddily, and they left multiple marks and dents in the freshly decorated walls. They had also removed doors from their hinges and left them lying up against the walls. They trimmed none of the doors and none of the ones still in place would close. I complained to Mandy and to separate email and contact addresses for the company multiple times and had no response without any resolution. Absolutely awful.

We have used Mandy for many years as our flooring contractor for our property portfolio. She offers exceptional service and always turns round quotes in double quick time. Her prices are very competetive and this added to the quality of service means that we do not need to look at any other flooring contractors When Rivendell do work for us we know the fitters will turn up on time work efficiently and do not leave any mess, something I wish I could say for other contractors. I have no hesitation in recommending Mandy and Rivendell

Mandy provides an excellent service, bringing a wide range of samples to your home at a convenient time so that you can choose a carpet in the place where it is to be fitted. Her knowledge about all the different carpets and flooring is invaluable, helping you to pick the right carpet for the area. As a busy business owner I didn't have time to go round all the different suppliers - the personal service that Rivendell offers is therefore cost and time saving - I wouldn't go to any other supplier.

We used this company about three years ago after a recommendation from a property manager we know. We were away overseas for a long period and wanted no hassle. We were advised on the type of flooring suitable for our purposes, and these were not the most expensive. We felt they knew their products and were not just out for the money, they wanted to give us the right thing. We had regular updates and photographs of the finished job. Since then we have moved back and are doing another place. We have only reused some contractors, Rivendell was definitely one as we had a first rate experience. We are happy and will be using them again.

Rivendell have been amazing from start to finish, bringing out numerous samples, booking in the work and laying carpet. All communication was easy and they were very responsive. The carpet fitters turned up on time and were polite and efficient. Will definitely use them again.
