We recently had LVT flooring fitted throughout our whole ground floor by Flooring Studio Bangor and we’re really happy with how it’s turned out. From visiting the showroom to choose the floor through to the installation, the whole experience was really positive.
The finished floor looks brilliant and we’re genuinely pleased with it. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and easy to get along with, which made the whole process feel much less stressful.
We were a bit nervous at first as it’s a big job doing the whole downstairs, but they made it straightforward and we felt confident we were in good hands.
Really pleased overall and would definitely recommend them.
Our experience with The Flooring Studio has been flawless from start to finish and we wouldn’t hesitate to strongly recommend them. Both Jason and Alice were so helpful from the start, giving us samples and advice as we tried to make what felt like the most difficult decision of the renovation! We had an issue with the original floor being extremely difficult to remove - after trying and failing for hours to get it up Jason stepped in and helped at no extra cost, which we really appreciated. They were incredibly flexible on times (even coming to the showroom last minute on our first visit), punctual and the overall quote was extremely competitive.

Beautiful herringbone engineered wood fitted by Jay and colleague. Alice patiently guided us through the options and answered all our questions. The work is of a very high standard with every detail taken care of. We couldn’t be happier with the result, it’s absolutely stunning. It feels like a shame to move the furniture back in now!
We were given Jason and Alice’s details by a trusted flooring company we’d used before, and it proved to be an excellent recommendation. During our home renovation, we visited their Llandygai showroom, where Alice guided us through a wide range of flooring options. She immediately understood our ideas, took time to listen, and suggested LVT options that suited our brief. We left confident we were in capable, attentive hands.
Over the following weeks, Alice arranged for additional samples to be sent directly to our home, saving us repeat trips and allowing us to make decisions at our own pace. We never felt pressured; instead, they offered thoughtful guidance, listened carefully, and helped us refine a scheme that turned out perfectly.
A major challenge arose when we discovered a significant height difference—up to 32mm—between two adjoining rooms, compounded by the lack of a DPC in one area. While this could have been problematic, Jason approached it with confidence and reassurance, suggesting a seamless solution without the need for a step.
After comparing quotes, we chose The Flooring Studio not only for their competitive pricing but because Jason and Alice clearly cared about delivering a high-quality result. Over four visits, Jason and Harley meticulously built up the subfloor using layers of levelling compound and a DPM. The result was an almost perfectly level, glass-smooth finish, even across three thresholds that had never previously aligned properly in 30 years.
With the space combining lounge, dining, and kitchen areas, we wanted a subtle transition between different floorings. The use of brass strips to blend materials was executed beautifully, particularly around the breakfast bar. Jason dedicated hours to fine details like this, alongside expertly handling challenging walls and door frames. His precision, craftsmanship, and attention to detail were exceptional throughout.
In summary, Jason and Alice are dedicated professionals who genuinely care about their clients and the quality of their work. Their collaborative approach and commitment to excellence set them apart.
