    Valley Carpets were recommended to us by friends so we decided to use them for our downstairs flooring. We were very happy with the job they did so decided to use them again to change our upstairs carpet. I don’t know where to start. We were let down a number of times with no communication. When the fitters finally turned up they asked us why we hadn’t ripped the old carpet up. We said we were not told to do this when they came to measure? They said they will rip it up at an extra cost of £80!! They would not take the carpet away they wanted extra money again which I was not prepared to pay so therefore was left with a massive pile of old carpet outside the front of our house. They also asked us why we hadn’t took the bed apart when we specifically asked during measuring do we need to take anything apart and we were told no they will move it around they do it every day. They then proceeded to ask if they could fit the carpet around our wardrobes(which are free standing) to which we obviously said no. They finished the carpet and we were happy with the job. The day after, I went in my storage cupboard and I moved my cleaning box that was on the floor to find that they had carpeted around the box! So when the box is moved there is an odd patch (luckily our previous carpet was a similar colour!!). At the same time as the carpets we had a section of flooring that needed completing downstairs which we were told they would do at the same time as the carpet. After they finished we said about the floor and the fitter turned around and said he doesn’t do flooring, which is fair enough even though we were told my the manager it could be done. So we went back to valley carpets to arrange someone else to come and sort this for us. We were promised someone would come out on 3 occasions and have been let down every time. We have stayed off work waiting for people to turn up and then been let down with no phone call to even apologies. There is no communication, and we were constantly chasing them. We still haven’t had the flooring done. It was booked for Wednesday this week and we were told that someone would ring us Tuesday night/Wednesday morning to confirm a time. We didn’t have a call until after 12pm on Wednesday and by then my partner had popped out to an appointment. The fitter told my partner that he would re-load his van and give him a call back to see if he was home, and he never phoned back. When I phoned the shop on Thursday to say we have been let down again, we were given a load of excuses again and tried blaming us as apparently our service was bad so no one could get through however we had no missed calls? So the lady in the shop told me she would phone me first thing Friday morning to book us back in and give us an exact date and time. Friday morning comes and goes, no phone call. I have completely given up. We have spent over 2.5k with this company and this is how they treat their customers it is terrible and so disappointing, and caused so much stress. We completely understand that jobs can take longer than expected and things crop up but all it takes is communication, which they do not give you.

    My partner and myself moved into our new home at the end of September. At this point we had only heard great things of valley carpets and after reviewing prices we decided to go with them. A choice we now regret massively. Firstly, we were advised it would take 4 days to fit our flooring, overall it took 2 months. Prior to fitting we were contacted to inform us the flooring couldn’t be self levelled as the quality wasn’t good enough, however when the surveyor attended he stated that the fitter just didn’t want the work. We then waited a further 2 weeks before flooring could commence. While the floors were being levelled the fitter managed to get self levelling compound everywhere - all up the walls, on kitchen cabinets and the windows which wasn’t cleaned up. Our carpet’s were fitted promptly but since then we have received nothing but problems. Our walls were all marked, cracked and split where they had forced carpet down. We are STILL awaiting carpet bars to be fitted so continue to have loose carpet surrounding our bathrooms. The customer service has been nothing but atrocious. We have had a total of 5 different floor layers (when they did arrive). Multiple appointments were made where no fitter would attend at all. There was no communication with us and it became a real chore to receive the service we had paid for. We needed to call them continuously to get a response and a new date for fitting. Now we are left with awful cuts in the LVT flooring, some parts are already rising. The sealing of the floors is nowhere near good enough! We could not be more dissatisfied with all the flooring. We really have had the worst experience with these cowboys and can confidently say we would not recommend this business at all.

    My floor looks amazing so happy with it. Excellent service, came to measure free of charge. The guys who fitted it were very professional and hard working. Can’t recommend them enough.

    Fab service start to finish! Damien was so helpful in helping us select our flooring, we had a new build so the team were flexible with us. We had some issues our side with our self levelling and when we asked the team they were really patient and quick to help us in making sure the floor was perfect before laying it. Thanks so much to Simon for fitting our flooring and making the time for us, really appreciate and highly recommend!

    We had LVT fitted in a herringbone style from Valley Carpets Merthyr in January. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Very friendly and helpful service from start to finish. Upon entering the shop and explaining what we needed the staff were amazing, in showing us their wide range of products and giving advice on our needs. We were kept informed every step of the way from shop to measuring, then fitting. We were extremely happy with the fitting process, very efficient the fitter didn't even take a break. Cleared away all the mess afterwards and took the rubbish with him. Very happy Thank You Valley Carpets
